Many thanks to Carrie, Brenda, Nicole, Heather and Raquel for sharing with us this week. I feel so lucky to be part of a community with such thoughtful and inspirational women. You can view all the week’s posts in one spot here. If you notice in the sidebar under Winter Carnival, you’ll be able to view each week’s posts in one spot by theme.
Laura, Lacey, Raquel, Cindie, Becca and I linked to pondering posts through the Linky widget at the bottom of the posts. Do go read at their fabulous blogs if you get a chance. And it’s not too late for you to link to a post, we’d love to read what you’ve been thinking on.
This week’s giveaway is a copy of the wonderful book The Spiritual Tasks of the Homemaker. It is a slim little book packed with lots of wisdom:
The author maintains that the old understanding of the homemaking role needs to be reenlivened with spiritual knowledge. We can, for example, begin to work with the suprasensory aspects of the household, the etheric and astral qualities there, as well as the various spiritual beings that are connected with the home.
I took part in a group study of this book several years ago. I’d love to take part in one again and refresh my understanding and applications of these concepts, maybe we can organize one on the forum sometime soon. Once again, you have up to two chances to win this giveaway. First, you can comment on this post below. Second, if you haven’t already you can “like” Homespun Waldorf on Facebook and mention that you did so in your comment below. Comments will close on Tuesday night, and I’ll announce a winner on Wednesday. The random number generator chose Jasmine as the winner of the book. Congratulations! Off to email you now!
On Monday we’ll be back with a week of posts designed to nourish body, mind and soul. This carnival has really cheered my month, I hope it is doing the same for you!
Sarah lives in upstate NY with her two children, husband, two cats and various and assorted chickens. Hi Sarah,
I loved following your real-life week on your blog. I don’t use facebook much, but I just liked HW on facebook. Thank you for all the work you do online. It helps to feel connected when there aren’t many Waldorf minded folks nearby. This book looks really interesting!
